This blog is all about my favorite CD's and Music. Before I begin a little about myself. I grew up in Appleton, Wi. around all sorts of garage bands. When I was 12 I got my first drum set and took lessons. I learned jazz drums and had a really good time. I really loved music and bought a bunch of cd's after convincing my mom to buy me an expensive CD player. CD's were new at the time so I had to save for a while to even be able to afford them.
First off, I have to give shout to Nofx,"OI OI". That is the band that lasted the longest in my cd player. I had a 5 disk changer for about 5 yrs and I'm pretty sure there was at least 1 of the many Nofx cd's in there! I knew every song inside and out. What get me every time is is the super catchy lyrics and El Hefe's galloping guitars.
Another GREAT band is At the Drive In. If you like truly passionate, energetic songs, you would love this band! I liked them so much I modeled our band after them! The way they build their crescendo really make you feel the music.
While on topic, another great emotional band that is a "bands" band is Glassjaw. They were a really hot setup! They always had studio drummers on their cd's but nonetheless, they ROCKED MY SOCKS OFF! That was another band that spent a few years in my cd changer.
